A Lifetime Investment
Every child deserves a chance to succeed.
At the YMCA we focus on building strong kids who grow up to lead successful and fulfilling lives. Programs such as YMCA childcare, Y Achievers, the Teen Center, and Leaders Clubs help children develop a lifetime love of learning and instill YMCA character values: Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, and Caring.
Unfortunately, not every child has a family that can afford the real cost of providing those rich experiences. At the South Chicago YMCA our goal is to make sure that every child has that opportunity regardless of ability to pay.
Support of the Strong Kids Campaign allows us to distribute scholarships to children and families in need. As a result more kids are engaged in high quality programs such as preschool learning, after school care, summer day camp, and youth and teen activities. Y parents know that their children are in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
The 2009 Strong Kids Campaign, “A Lifetime Investment,” gives individuals and businesses a most rewarding investment opportunity. Investing in children has a 100% outcome.
